Yes. Rigid SPC vinyl is waterproof and stable in heat and humidity, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms and ground floors. Keep it out of long, direct sun behind glass, or use blinds.
How Long Does PVC or SPC Vinyl Flooring Last?
Good quality SPC vinyl lasts 15 to 20 years in homes with normal care. Thinner PVC sheet or glue-down vinyl lasts about 10 years.
Is Vinyl or Laminate Flooring More Affordable?
Both are budget-friendly. Laminate is often slightly cheaper per square metre for the board itself, while SPC vinyl costs a little more but is fully waterproof. Installation prices are similar.
Can New Flooring Go Over Concrete or Existing Tiles?
Yes, if the surface is flat, sound and dry. Floating laminate and SPC vinyl go straight over tiles with an underlay. Uneven tiles or concrete are levelled first.
How Much Does Flooring Installation Cost in Dubai?
Laminate and SPC vinyl installation starts from AED 25 per square metre for labour, and from about AED 70 per square metre supplied and fitted. Levelling and skirting are quoted separately when needed.
