Choosing Laminate Flooring
Thickness
8 mm and 12 mm boards are most common. Thicker boards feel more solid underfoot. They also sound quieter.
Water Resistance
Standard laminate dislikes standing water. Water-resistant ranges have sealed edges. Avoid laminate in bathrooms.
Underlay
Acoustic underlay reduces footstep noise to the flat below. Many towers require it. A moisture barrier goes on concrete.

Laminate Over Tiles
Most Dubai apartments have tiled floors. Laminate can float straight over flat tiles, which saves the cost, noise and dust of breaking them out.
Doors usually need trimming to clear the new floor height. We trim them as part of the job.

Both are budget-friendly. Laminate is often slightly cheaper per square metre for the board itself, while SPC vinyl costs a little more but is fully waterproof. Installation prices are similar.
How Much Does Flooring Installation Cost in Dubai?
Laminate and SPC vinyl installation starts from AED 25 per square metre for labour, and from about AED 70 per square metre supplied and fitted. Levelling and skirting are quoted separately when needed. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
How Long Does Flooring Installation Take?
A typical apartment bedroom is fitted in a day. A full two-bedroom apartment usually takes two to three days, plus drying time if the floor needs levelling first.
Can New Flooring Go Over Concrete or Existing Tiles?
Yes, if the surface is flat, sound and dry. Floating laminate and SPC vinyl go straight over tiles with an underlay. Uneven tiles or concrete are levelled first.
