Gypsum Repairs in Dubai Homes
Dubai apartments use gypsum board for partitions, bulkheads and false ceilings. It is quick to build but marks easily, and AC leaks and plumbing drips damage it from above. Most damage can be repaired without replacing whole walls.
The difference between a visible patch and an invisible repair is finishing: feathering joint compound wide, sanding flat under a work light, priming and painting to a natural break.

How Much Does Drywall Repair Cost in Dubai?
Small hole and crack repairs start from AED 150 per visit, including painting the repair. Water-damaged sections start from AED 300, and new partitions from about AED 85 per square metre. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
Can Water-Damaged Drywall Be Repaired or Must It Be Replaced?
Small, dry stains can be sealed and repainted. Gypsum that has gone soft, crumbly or mouldy must be cut out and replaced. In both cases the leak must be fixed first.
Will the Repair Be Visible, and How Do You Match the Paint?
We feather the repair beyond the damaged area, sand it smooth and prime it, then paint to the nearest corner or joint using your colour code or a matched sample, so it blends into the wall.
What Causes Cracks in Gypsum Walls?
Most cracks appear at board joints, around door frames and at corners, caused by building movement, temperature swings from AC, and joints that were not taped properly. Re-taping the joint stops most cracks returning.
How Do You Fix Large Holes in Drywall?
Large holes are cut back to a neat square, backed with timber or a metal patch, filled with a new piece of gypsum board, then taped, jointed, sanded and painted.
