Heavy-Duty Steel Wall Brackets
Thick steel brackets with two or three fixing holes instead of one. The load spreads across more screws, which matters on block and gypsum walls. They suit wide rods carrying velvet or interlined curtains.

Velvet, interlined and thermal blackout curtains can weigh several kilos per panel. They look beautiful in villa living rooms and majlis spaces, but only when the brackets behind them are strong enough. We fit heavy drapery with steel brackets, close spacing and centre supports, so nothing sags.
Formal Rooms
Velvet, interlined and thermal blackout curtains give villa living rooms and majlis spaces a rich, finished look. They also put far more weight on the brackets than ordinary curtains.
We fit heavy-duty steel brackets, close the spacing and add centre supports, fixing into concrete or the studs behind gypsum. The drapery opens and closes smoothly and never sags.
| Fabric | Weight | Bracket Spacing | Rod or Track |

| Sheer Voile or Linen | Light | Every 100 to 120 cm | 16 to 19 mm rod or standard track |
| Lined Cotton or Polyester | Medium | Every 80 cm | 25 mm rod or standard track |
| Blackout with Thermal Lining | Heavy | Every 60 cm | 28 mm rod or heavy-duty track |
| Velvet, Chenille or Interlined | Very heavy | Every 50 to 60 cm | 28 to 35 mm steel rod or reinforced track |
| Double Layer: Sheer Plus Blackout | Heavy | Every 60 cm | Double bracket or double heavy-duty track |
Thick steel brackets with two or three fixing holes instead of one. The load spreads across more screws, which matters on block and gypsum walls. They suit wide rods carrying velvet or interlined curtains.
Ceiling brackets fixed into the concrete slab or the metal grid above a gypsum ceiling. Long screws reach solid material rather than relying on the board. They carry heavy ripple fold and pinch pleat tracks across wide glass.
Open or passing brackets in the middle of a long rod that let the rings slide over them. They stop the rod bending under heavy fabric. Any rod longer than 2 metres needs at least one.
Brackets that hold the curtain further from the wall to clear deep sills, radiators or AC units. Projection matters with thick fabric, which needs space to fold. Returns at each end also block light leaking around the sides.
Formal living rooms and majlis spaces in Emirates Hills, Al Barsha and Jumeirah often have tall windows dressed with layered drapery: a sheer, a heavy main curtain and sometimes a pelmet or valance. Together they can put a serious load on the fixings, especially when pulled open and closed every day.
We fix into concrete wherever possible, add a centre support on every rod over 2 metres and use brackets with multiple screws. On gypsum, we locate the studs or metal grid and fix into them rather than the board. Our level fixing guide explains the anchors.
Heavy curtains often need tie-backs or holdbacks to keep them open neatly. See tie-backs and accessories, and for bay windows, bay window and corner rods.
Pricing Guide
Heavy drapery costs more per window than standard curtains because of the extra brackets, centre supports and careful dressing. Double-height windows are quoted after we see them.

Tools and Materials
Thick brackets with two or three fixing holes. They spread the load across several screws. They carry velvet and interlined curtains safely.
Rods of 28 to 35 mm that do not bend under heavy fabric. They suit wide villa windows. Matching finials complete the look.
Reinforced tracks with strong gliders for pinch pleat drapery. They run smoothly even under heavy loads. They can be motorised for very wide windows.
Stable platforms for double-height windows in stairwells and atriums. They keep technicians safe at height. Fixings can be set precisely from a steady base.
Based in Al Barsha since 2014, we work across every Dubai community with trade-specialist technicians and a workmanship guarantee on every job.
Brackets are spaced closer and centre supports added for velvet, interlined and blackout fabrics. Fixings go into concrete or studs, not bare gypsum. The drapery never sags.
Majlis rooms and villa living spaces often have layered, tailored drapery. We hang and dress each layer so the pleats sit perfectly. Valances and holdbacks are aligned across the room.
Brackets are set to a laser line rather than measured from a sloping ceiling. The rod or track sits perfectly level across the window. Hems then hang evenly from one side to the other.
Dust sheets go down before drilling and every offcut is taken away. Every job carries our workmanship guarantee. If a fixing we made works loose, we come back and correct it.
Fitting heavy drapery on a customer-supplied rod or track starts from AED 150 per window, including heavy-duty fixings and centre supports. Wide villa windows, double-height glass and majlis drapery are quoted by size after we see photos. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
For heavy drapery it includes checking the surface, choosing heavy-duty anchors, spacing brackets for the fabric weight, adding centre supports, hanging and dressing the curtains and testing the full open and close action.
A two-bedroom apartment with standard curtains usually costs AED 400 to AED 750 in labour. Heavy drapery costs a little more per window because of the extra brackets and fixings. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
A standard rod takes 20 to 30 minutes. A heavy drapery rod with extra brackets and careful dressing takes 40 to 60 minutes per window.
Most villa living rooms and majlis rooms are finished in half a day. Double-height windows that need a tall ladder or scaffold tower can take longer.
