Moving House
Moving in Dubai often happens at the end of a tenancy, with a landlord inspection on one side and an empty new home on the other. Curtains and rods are usually the last thing taken down and the first thing people want back up.
We take everything down, bag and label every set of brackets by room, patch the old holes and refit at the new address. Rods that do not suit the new windows are cut, extended or swapped.
Old home
We lift the curtains off, remove the rods and tracks and keep every bracket, screw and finial with its own window. Each set is bagged and labelled by room, so nothing goes missing in the move.
Old home
The old fixing holes are filled, sanded and touched up so the walls are ready for the landlord inspection. This protects your security deposit and saves a separate visit later.
Moving day
Curtains are folded along their pleats or rolled, never stuffed into boxes. Ripple fold and pinch pleat headings keep their shape, which means less steaming at the new home.
New home
Windows in the new home are rarely the same size. We measure each one, decide which rods fit as they are and which need cutting or extending, and plan the brackets for the new surface.
New home
Rods and tracks are fitted, levelled and the curtains hung and dressed. We test every set, adjust the hem heights and leave the rooms clean.
Most curtains move well between Dubai apartments, but the windows rarely match. A curtain that reached the floor in Dubai Marina may hang short under a higher ceiling in Dubai Hills. We check each drop at the new home and suggest raising or lowering the rod, or moving to a ceiling track, so the length works again.
Gypsum walls in the new home may need different anchors from the concrete you had before. We bring both, along with spare brackets in case the originals do not suit the new surface. Level fixing is covered on our level fixing on gypsum, concrete and brick page.

Tools and Materials
Each window's brackets, screws and finials go into its own labelled bag. Nothing gets mixed up in the move. Refitting is faster and nothing goes missing.
Fine filler and matched paint for invisible repairs at the old home. It helps protect your security deposit. The wall is left ready for the landlord inspection.
Fine-tooth hacksaws and files for shortening rods and tracks. Cut ends are deburred so they do not snag fabric. End caps hide the cut.
Fresh anchors suited to the surfaces in the new home. Old plugs are never reused. Gypsum and concrete each get the right fixing.
Based in Al Barsha since 2014, we work across every Dubai community with trade-specialist technicians and a workmanship guarantee on every job.
Every bracket, screw and finial is bagged and labelled by room. Refitting is quick because each set arrives complete. You will not be hunting for missing parts.
We take down at the old address and refit at the new one, often on the same day. Old holes are patched for the landlord. You deal with one team for the whole move.
Brackets are set to a laser line rather than measured from a sloping ceiling. The rod or track sits perfectly level across the window. Hems then hang evenly from one side to the other.
Dust sheets go down before drilling and every offcut is taken away. Every job carries our workmanship guarantee. If a fixing we made works loose, we come back and correct it.
Taking down a curtain and its rod or track starts from AED 50 per window. Refitting at the new home starts from AED 100 per window. Patching and painting the old holes is priced per room, and we quote the whole move together so you know the total in advance. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
Measuring each window, agreeing the height and overhang, finding a solid fixing point, fitting and levelling the brackets, hanging the curtains and testing that they run smoothly. On a move, it also includes matching each set to the right window in the new home.
Fitting rods or tracks and hanging curtains in a two-bedroom apartment usually costs AED 400 to AED 750 in labour. Reusing your own hardware keeps the cost down. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
Around 20 to 30 minutes per window. Taking down is quicker, at about 10 to 15 minutes per window including bagging and labelling.
A two-bedroom apartment usually takes one to two hours to take down and two to four hours to refit. We can do both on the same day if the move allows it.
Areas We Cover
We help people move curtains between apartments and villas all over Dubai, from Dubai Marina to Mirdif. Both addresses can be covered on the same day.
We will plan the take-down, the patching and the refit, and give you one price for all of it.
