All Curtain Types Hung and Fitted in Dubai

Every curtain heading needs the right hardware. Eyelets need a rod, ripple fold needs its own track and pinch pleats need hooks set at the right height. We match the rod or track to your curtains, fit it and hang everything so it falls straight to the floor.

Every Heading Style

Every Curtain Type Hung on the Right Rod or Track

Curtains arrive in many heading styles, and each one needs specific hardware. Eyelets slide on a rod, pinch pleats hang on hooks and ripple fold clips into its own track. Fitting the wrong hardware is why so many curtains in Dubai homes refuse to open smoothly.

We identify the heading, choose or check the rod or track, fit it at the right height and dress the curtains so the folds fall evenly. Sheers, blackouts and double layers are all hung in one visit.

Curtain Types in Dubai: Eyelet, Pinch Pleat, Ripple Fold and Blackout

01

Eyelet Curtains

Hangs on: Rod

Metal rings are punched into the top of the fabric and threaded straight onto a curtain rod. Eyelets create deep, even folds and slide easily, which makes them popular in living rooms and bedrooms. They need a rod rather than a track, and the rod diameter must suit the ring size.

02

Pinch Pleat Curtains

Hangs on: Track or rod with rings

Fabric is gathered into tailored pleats at the top and hung on hooks. Pinch pleats give a formal, hotel-style finish and suit heavy lined fabrics. They work on tracks with gliders or on rods with rings and hooks.

03

Ripple Fold (Wave) Curtains

Hangs on: Ripple fold track

Carriers clip into a special track at fixed spacing, so the fabric falls in soft, identical waves. Ripple fold is the most requested style for floor to ceiling glass in Dubai towers. It stacks neatly at each end and pairs well with motorised tracks.

04

Rod Pocket Curtains

Hangs on: Slim rod

A sewn channel along the top slides over a slim rod. They look relaxed and casual but are hard to open and close often, so they suit decorative or rarely moved panels. We usually fit them on short rods in kitchens and small windows.

05

Tab Top Curtains

Hangs on: Rod

Fabric loops sewn along the top hang directly over a rod. Tab tops suit light cotton and linen in children's rooms and informal spaces. Like rod pockets, they are better for curtains that stay mostly open or closed.

06

Sheer Curtains

Hangs on: Track or slim rod

Light voile or linen that softens daylight and adds privacy without darkening the room. In Dubai, sheers cut glare on screens and protect sofas and rugs from sun fading. They usually sit on the front channel of a double track.

07

Blackout Curtains

Hangs on: Track or strong rod

Lined or coated fabric that blocks almost all light and much of the heat. Blackout curtains are heavy, so they need well-spaced brackets and firm fixings. They are essential for bedrooms facing east, where summer sunrise comes before 5:30am.

08

Double-Layer Setups

Hangs on: Double rod or double track

A sheer at the front and a blackout or lined curtain behind, each on its own channel. You can use the sheer alone by day and close both layers at night. This is the most popular living room setup we install in Dubai.

Choosing the Right Curtain Type for Dubai Apartments and Villas

The climate shapes the choice. Strong sun fades unlined fabrics within a couple of summers, so we usually suggest a lining or a separate blackout layer on south and west-facing windows. Sheers in linen or voile take the edge off the glare without making the room dark.

Ceiling height matters too. Many Dubai apartments have ceilings around 2.7 to 3 metres, and curtains hung from just above the window make the room feel lower. Hanging the rod or track higher, or fixing it to the ceiling, lets the fabric fall from top to bottom and makes the room feel taller.

Most curtain makers in Satwa, Karama and Al Quoz sew to a finished drop. Once your hardware is fitted, we measure that drop for you. For the hardware itself, see our guide to curtain rod, track and rail installation in Dubai, and for glass walls, ceiling-mounted tracks.

Tools and Materials

Tools, Materials and Products We Use for Curtain Hanging

Eyelet Rods

Rods sized to pass through the curtain eyelets smoothly. The diameter must match the ring size. Finials stop the curtains sliding off the ends.

Pinch Pleat Hooks and Gliders

Hooks that hold tailored pleats on a track or ring rod. Their position sets how much of the track the heading hides. We adjust them so pleats sit evenly.

Ripple Fold Tracks

Tracks with carriers at fixed spacing for wave curtains. They are the standard for floor to ceiling windows. The curtain tape clips straight onto the carriers.

Double Brackets

Brackets that hold two rods or tracks at different depths. They let sheer and blackout layers move independently. The front layer clears the back one easily.

Why Choose Wamtech Services for Curtain Hanging in Dubai

Based in Al Barsha since 2014, we work across every Dubai community with trade-specialist technicians and a workmanship guarantee on every job.

01

Every Heading Understood

Eyelet, pinch pleat, ripple fold, rod pocket and tab top headings all hang differently. We match the hardware and set the hooks for each one. The curtains move the way they were designed to.

02

Dressed, Not Just Hung

Folds are trained and pleats arranged so the curtains look tailored from day one. Hems are checked for level across the window. Layers are aligned so the sheer and blackout move freely.

03

Laser-Level Installation

Brackets are set to a laser line rather than measured from a sloping ceiling. The rod or track sits perfectly level across the window. Hems then hang evenly from one side to the other.

04

Tidy, Guaranteed Work

Dust sheets go down before drilling and every offcut is taken away. Every job carries our workmanship guarantee. If a fixing we made works loose, we come back and correct it.
