We choose the gate, extensions and adapter kits that suit the shape, and decide where fixings can go without damaging stone, glass or rented walls.
Step 3
Fit and Square Up
Mounting posts, spacers or banister kits are fitted first, then the gate is hung and adjusted until it closes square and latches every time.
Step 4
Test as a Toddler Would
We push, pull and lean on the gate and test the latch repeatedly. The gap at the floor is checked so small feet cannot slide under.
