Baby Proofing
A hot oven door, a washing machine drum, a dishwasher full of knives and a fridge full of glass jars all attract curious toddlers. We fit appliance locks and knob covers that keep doors closed and controls out of play, without stopping adults using the kitchen.
Open-plan kitchens are standard in Dubai apartments, so toddlers can reach the oven and fridge from the living room without passing a door. That makes appliance locks one of the most important parts of baby proofing.
Many modern appliances already have a child lock in their settings, especially ovens, hobs, washing machines and dishwashers. We switch these on and show you how they work, then add physical locks where the built-in feature does not cover the door.
Appliance locks work alongside child-proof locks and latches on cupboards. A kitchen safety gate is often the simplest way to keep crawlers out of the kitchen altogether. Sharp counter corners are covered under corner guards and edge bumpers.
