Carpet laid over parquet leaves glue and nail holes. Glue is removed and holes filled. The timber underneath is often perfect.
Blocks removed for pipes or repairs. We source reclaimed or matching blocks. The pattern is restored.
Decades of traffic and spills. Solid blocks allow deep sanding. Most stains come out.
Solid parquet laid decades ago is often thicker than modern engineered floors, so it can take a full restoration. Restoring it keeps the character of an older villa and costs less than replacing it.
Uncovering parquet under carpet is always a surprise. We lift a test area first to see the condition before committing to a full restoration.
