Sanding Plank Floors
Unlike parquet, plank floors are sanded along the length of the boards, which gives a smooth finish with no cross-grain marks.
Old solvent lacquers turn orange over time. Sanding them off and using a modern water-based lacquer gives a clear, natural colour that stays that way.
