Refinishing Decks in Dubai
Timber has to be clean and dry for a finish to soak in. We wash and brighten the deck, then let it dry fully before coating, usually the next day in Dubai heat.
Timing matters. Applying finish in midday summer sun makes it dry too fast and look patchy. We work in the cooler morning or schedule refinishing between October and April.

What Is the Difference Between Staining and Sealing?
A stain adds colour and UV protection, while a sealer repels water without changing the colour much. Many deck oils do both. In Dubai's sun, a pigmented stain or oil lasts longer than a clear sealer.
When Should I Re-Seal or Re-Stain My Deck?
In Dubai, timber decks usually need re-oiling or re-staining every 6 to 12 months because of strong UV. If water no longer beads on the surface or the colour has turned grey, it is time. WPC decks do not need staining, only cleaning.
How Do I Repair a Damaged Deck?
Start by finding the cause: rotten boards, loose screws, a failed joist or a sinking support. Damaged boards are replaced, joists sistered or replaced, fixings renewed and the deck then cleaned and sealed.
