Fence and Gate Repair
Fences fail at their posts and rails first. Timber posts rot where irrigation keeps the base wet, steel posts rust at ground level, and rails crack or pull away. We reset and replace posts and replace broken pickets and rails to bring the fence back into line.
Irrigation is the hidden cause of most fence post failures. Sprinklers and drip lines keep soil wet against the base of posts every day, so timber rots and steel rusts long before the rest of the fence wears out.
When we replace a post, we set it in concrete shaped to shed water and redirect sprinklers away where possible. Pickets and rails are fixed with stainless screws so they do not rust and streak.
For full panels, see fence panel replacement. For hinges and latches, see hinge and latch repair, and for decking, new deck construction.

Repair makes sense when the motor is sound and the fault is a control board, capacitor, sensor or remote. Replacement is better when the gearbox is worn, parts are no longer available or the motor is too small for the gate.
Replacing a swing or sliding gate motor usually takes three to five hours, including setting the limits, safety sensors and remotes. Larger gates or new wiring can take a full day.
One or two posts can be replaced in half a day. Concrete then needs time to cure before heavy gates are rehung.
