Dubai Marina and JBR
Handyman in Dubai Marina for Tower Apartments
Marina homes are mostly high-rise apartments with gypsum partitions, full-height glass and building rules for every job. We handle the permit, book the service lift, protect the floors and finish the work in one visit wherever we can.
What We Sort Out Before We Knock on Your Door
Working in a Marina tower is different from working in a villa. These four things decide whether a job starts on time, so we handle them for you.
- 01
Building Permit
Most Marina towers ask for a work permit or contractor details before maintenance starts. Tell us the building name and we send our trade licence and the job details to your management office.
- 02
Service Lift and Parking
We book the service lift where the building needs it, and arrive with a plan for parking. That stops a 30 minute delay at the loading bay eating into your slot.
- 03
Floor and Furniture Protection
Floors, sofas and the route from the door are covered before tools come out. Drilling dust is collected at the wall with a vacuum, not swept up afterwards.
- 04
Working Hours
Noisy work like drilling is kept inside the hours your building allows. Quiet jobs such as assembly can often run later in the evening.

Jobs Marina Apartments Need Most
TV Mounting on Gypsum
Many Marina apartments have gypsum partition walls that cannot hold a TV on plain plugs. We find the studs or use rated cavity anchors, and hide the cables neatly. Large screens are mounted by two technicians.

Floor-to-ceiling windows let in a lot of sun from early morning. Ceiling tracks close the light gap at the top and suit blackout curtains in bedrooms. We fix into the concrete slab or a suitable gypsum ceiling.
See the serviceAC Care for Fan Coil Units
Many towers use chilled water with fan coil units hidden in the ceiling. We clean filters and coils, clear drain lines and check thermostats so the AC cools properly and stops dripping. It is best done before the summer peak.
See the serviceBalcony and Window Safety
High floors and young children are a worry for many Marina families. We fit window restrictors and childproof locks on balcony doors. Everything is reversible, so it suits rented homes.
See the serviceMove-Out Repairs
Tenants moving out need holes filled, walls touched up and broken fittings replaced before the inspection. We work from your list or the landlord's report. Most apartments are done in a single day.
See the serviceBathroom Regrouting
Humidity from the sea and long hot showers stain and crack bathroom grout. We rake out the old grout and refill it with a mould-resistant one. Silicone around the bath and basin is replaced at the same time.

What Sea Air Does to a Marina Apartment
Salt, sand and humidity wear homes on the water faster than homes inland. These four problems come up again and again in Marina and JBR towers.
Rust on Balcony Fixings
Salt in the air attacks screws, brackets and railings faster than inland. We replace rusted fixings with stainless steel ones that last. It is worth checking balcony items every year.
Sliding Doors That Stick
Sand and salt build up in the tracks of balcony doors. We clean and adjust the rollers and replace worn seals. The door slides easily and closes tight again.
Mould in Bathroom Grout
Humid sea air and closed windows let mould grow in grout and silicone. We remove it and refill with mould-resistant grout and silicone. Running the extractor fan helps keep it away.
AC Drain Leaks
Fan coil units work hard in humid weather and their drains block more often. We clear the drain and clean the tray before water reaches the ceiling. A yearly service stops most leaks.
From Marina Walk to the JBR Side
We work in towers right around the Marina, and in JLT and JBR next door. If your building is on the water, we have probably worked in one just like it.

Famous Marina and JBR Landmarks Near You
Tell us the nearest landmark and your tower name, and our technician will know exactly where to park and which entrance to use.
- Landmark 1
Marina Walk
The promenade that loops around the water, lined with cafes and tower lobbies. Most of the towers we work in open straight onto it.
- Landmark 2
Dubai Marina Mall
Next to the residential towers on the Sheikh Zayed Road side of the Marina. A useful landmark for drivers finding your building's loading bay.
- Landmark 3
Cayan Tower
The famous twisting tower on the water's edge. Buildings with curved or angled walls need extra planning for TV and curtain fixings, and we are used to them.
- Landmark 4
Pier 7
The round tower of restaurants on the Marina Walk. Towers around it have some of the busiest service lifts, so we book them early.
- Landmark 5
The Walk at JBR
The beachfront street of the JBR towers. Sea air here is stronger, which is why balcony fixings and door seals wear faster.
- Landmark 6
Ain Dubai
The giant observation wheel on Bluewaters Island, facing JBR. It is the view from many Marina balconies we fit safety nets and blinds on.

Dubai Marina Questions
Not covered here? Send your question on WhatsApp and we will answer it the same day.
Do You Handle the Building Permit in Dubai Marina?
Yes. Tell us your tower name and we send our trade licence and job details to the building management. Some buildings need a day or two to approve, so we plan the visit around that.
Can You Mount a TV on a Gypsum Wall in a Marina Apartment?
Yes. We locate the metal studs or use heavy-duty cavity anchors rated for the weight. For very large screens we may suggest a different wall or a floor stand. TV mounting starts from AED 150*. Prices vary and can change depending on your exact requirements, the materials and access to the property, so the final price is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
Do You Work on Weekends in Dubai Marina?
We work every day from 8am to 10pm. Some towers do not allow noisy work on certain days, so we check your building's rules when you book.
Can You Fix Curtain Tracks to the Ceiling Above Full-Height Windows?
Yes. Ceiling tracks are one of our most common Marina jobs. We check what the ceiling is made of first and use fixings that suit it.
