How We Install a Ceiling Fan Safely

Check the Support
We confirm there is, or can be, a fan-rated box or hook fixed into the slab. Light boxes alone are not enough.
- Step 2
Choose the Down Rod
The down rod length is chosen so blades sit at least 2.1 to 2.3 m above the floor and clear of the ceiling.
- Step 3
Mount and Wire
The bracket is fixed, the motor hung, and the fan wired and earthed to the existing supply and controller.
- Step 4
Balance and Test
Blades are fitted and balanced, then the fan is tested at every speed and with the light kit and remote.
