Trim Types

Woodwork and Trim We Fit

Skirting Boards

MDF, PVC or timber skirting at the base of walls. It covers the floor gap and protects walls from knocks. Profiles range from flat modern to classic ogee.

Architraves

Trim around door and window openings. It hides the joint between frame and wall. Mitred corners give a crisp frame.

Panel Moulding

Thin mouldings that create box panels on walls. They add a classic look to bedrooms and halls. They are painted with the wall.

Fluted and Slatted Walls

Vertical slats or fluted MDF panels for TV walls and headboards. They add texture and warmth. Hidden lighting can be built in.

Getting Trim Right on Dubai Walls

Walls in Dubai apartments are often slightly out of straight, especially gypsum partitions. Good trim work follows the wall closely, with scribed joints and flexible filler, so there are no shadows or gaps along the top edge.

In bathrooms, kitchens and near balcony doors, PVC or moisture-resistant MDF skirting avoids swelling. Panelling is glued and pinned so it stays flat as humidity changes.

For painting after trim work, see interior painting. For door frames, see door and frame installation, and for gypsum walls, gypsum board installation.
