Dull marble, scratched porcelain and etched terrazzo can look new again without retiling. We hone, polish and seal tile floors in Dubai homes, villas and offices, bringing back the shine that years of traffic and sand have worn away.
01 / By Material
Each material polishes differently, so we adjust the abrasives, the polishing compound and the sealer to suit.
Soft natural stone that scratches and etches from acidic spills such as lemon juice and vinegar. We grind out scratches with diamond pads and polish to the original shine. A penetrating sealer protects it afterwards.
Hard and dense, but the polished surface dulls under sand and grit. We deep clean and buff it with fine pads to restore reflection. Scratches through the glaze cannot be polished out, so we tell you honestly.
A composite of marble chips set in cement or resin. It can be ground and polished many times over its life. We restore it to a smooth, glossy and sealed finish.
A porous natural stone common on villa terraces. Holes are filled before honing to a smooth matt or satin finish. It is then sealed against stains.
A very hard stone that keeps its shine for years. When it does dull, we polish it with diamond pads and compound. Sealing keeps oils from soaking in.
Glazed ceramic cannot be ground, but it can be deep cleaned and given a protective finish. We remove ground-in dirt and residue. The colour comes back noticeably brighter.
02 / Our Method
Furniture is moved, skirting boards and walls are masked and the floor is swept and vacuumed. Grout is checked and repaired first if needed.
Diamond pads in progressively finer grits remove scratches, etching and lippage. Water keeps dust down and the stone cool.
Polishing compounds and fine pads bring the surface up to the finish you choose, from matt to high gloss.
A penetrating sealer is applied to protect against stains and water. The floor is buffed and left to cure before furniture returns.
Shine Restored
A polished floor sets the tone for a whole home or lobby. When sand and cleaning chemicals wear it dull, the space looks tired no matter how clean it is.
We hone out scratches and etching, polish to the finish you choose and seal the surface. Marble, porcelain, terrazzo, travertine and granite are all restored without retiling.
Sand is the main culprit. Fine desert sand comes in on shoes and acts like sandpaper underfoot, slowly wearing the polish off marble and porcelain. Areas near entrances and balcony doors dull first.
Cleaning products cause damage too. Acidic cleaners and bleach etch marble and strip sealers, leaving dull patches and stains. Hard water leaves mineral deposits that build up into a cloudy film.
Polishing works best with sound grout. Where joints are dirty or failing, start with grout line cleaning and restoration or regrouting worn or missing grout. For damage in individual tiles, see chipped tile surface repair.

Tools and Materials

A heavy, slow-speed machine that keeps pads flat on the floor. It produces an even finish across large areas. Edges are finished with a hand tool.
Powders and creams that bring stone to a high gloss. They are matched to marble, terrazzo or granite. The finish is crisp and even.
Soaks into stone pores to block water and oil without leaving a coating. The floor keeps its natural look. Stains wipe away more easily.

Marble, porcelain and terrazzo each need different abrasives and compounds. We adjust for every floor. Nothing is over-ground or damaged.
Deep scratches through porcelain glaze cannot be polished out. We tell you this before starting. You only pay for results that are achievable.
Wet honing keeps dust to a minimum and walls are masked. Slurry is cleaned away as we go. Your home stays liveable during the work.
Every polished floor is sealed. You get advice on cleaners and maintenance. The shine lasts far longer as a result.
Marble polishing starts from AED 25 per square metre and porcelain deep cleaning and buffing from AED 15 per square metre, with a minimum visit of AED 400. Heavy scratch removal and lippage grinding cost more. Yes. Dirty or failed grout spoils a freshly polished floor and lets water reach the stone. We check and repair grout before polishing.
Epoxy grout is a waterproof, stain-resistant resin grout for showers, kitchens and pool areas. It pairs well with sealed stone floors in wet areas.
Dirt, sand, soap residue and hard water darken grout over time, especially in hallways and kitchens. Cleaning and sealing restores the colour.
Smaller rooms can be polished in a day. Large villas are usually done over two or more days so each area can cure properly.
