What Is the Difference Between Wood Painting, Staining and Varnishing?
Paint covers the wood with an opaque colour and hides the grain. Stain soaks in and changes the colour while keeping the grain visible. Varnish or lacquer is a clear protective coat on top. Many jobs combine a stain with a varnish or oil.
Which Stain Colours Are Available?

Which Finish Is Best: Matte, Glossy or Satin?
Matte looks natural and hides marks, satin is a practical middle ground for furniture and doors, and gloss is the most wipeable but shows scratches. Most Dubai homes choose matte or satin.
