How We Reseal a Bath or Shower
- Step 1

Old silicone is cut and scraped out completely.

The joint is cleaned with a remover and fully dried.

Mask and Fill
Edges are masked and the bath is filled with water before sealing.

Tool
Silicone is applied and tooled to a smooth line.

Silicone applied over old silicone or onto a damp joint traps mould spores, and black spots return within weeks. Full removal and drying is the step that matters.
Filling a bath with water before sealing lets it settle to its working position, so the new seal does not split when you get in.
